Scientific Manufacturing Enterprise «NIIPAV» is a leading developer and a major manufacturer – supplier of functional surfactants and surfactant based products in the Russian market and abroad.
Founded more than half a century ago (1960) as an Applied Research Institute for the development and implementation of the state policy in the surfactant and detergent sphere; today the company remains to be a flagship of innovative development of the industry. SME «NIIPAV» has not only succeeded in saving its technical potential; the company has strengthened it in recent years and created a number of new import-substituting production lines and has become a dynamically developed enterprise in the domestic chemical industry. SME «NIIPAV» covers a significant part of the functional surfactants demand of the Russian market.
Turn to the production takes place in the late 90s. The enterprise based on its own scientific and technological developments starts to create industrial complex, which includes universal small-scale installations for the production of surfactants and special chemical reagents, technical substances and a number of ingredients for household goods, oil and gas industry, medicine, cosmetics, road construction, agriculture etc.
The founder of the company is a Ph.D., Honorary chemist of the Russian Federation, Honorary Academician of Maon, Chebaksarov Arkady.
Nowadays SME «NIIPAV» is an industrial complex comprising its own Research Centre (STC), production hall (the production capacity stands at 45 thousand tons per year) and specialized transport and logistics division that delivers products across Russia and the CIS countries. The company employs over 200 highly qualified specialists.
The company main products are surfactants, surfactant concentrates (intermediates) and chemical reagents used for the household goods production (washing and cleaning detergents, antistatic, softeners), cosmetics (shampoo, foam, gels, balms), textile auxiliaries and disinfectants. Other company’s product line is reagents and additives used in oil and gas extraction, road construction, mining and etc. The enterprise plant produces such groups of surfactants as betaines, amine oxides, alkilolamides, quaternary ammonium compound (QAC) salts, aliphatic amines, carboxylates. All above-mentioned groups are represented by the different trade product lines. These products are in conforms to the Russian and international standards and successfully compete with foreign analogues. The quality of the products is proved by numerous awards of specific international exhibitions. It is planned to launch new surfactant line which doesn’t have analogues in the domestic industry.
Research engineering and applied work are a core activity and an organizational priority for SME «NIIPAV». The company aims to create new substances that have no analogues in the domestic industry, develop new chemical technologies and upgrade operating facilities, as well as expand the scope of application of currently manufactured and new products. Developments in the field of oilfield chemistry, including innovations for environmental protection, are a recent focus of the company.
For many years a number of leading national and multinational corporations are valued customers and partners of the company. This is an indicator of the high degree of reliability and responsibility of the enterprise as a supplier, the appropriate quality of the products provided by use of advanced technologies and the high qualifications of scientific, production personnel and management.
In June 2020, NPO NIIPAV became part of the ZIRAX company (Group of Companies NIKOCHEM).
This constructive step taken by the parties opens the perspective for a significant increase in production capacity, contributes to strengthening of the company’s market position and reaching a new level of the surfactants production, marketing and sales.
